A website isn't a "build it and forget it" job. Like a car, it keeps running best with a little regular attention. A care plan is that attention, handled for you. Here's what it covers and when it's worth paying for.
What a care plan actually does
A good care plan quietly keeps your site healthy:
- Updates — WordPress, your theme and plugins are updated safely, so nothing breaks and security holes are closed.
- Backups — regular copies of your site, so it can be restored quickly if something goes wrong.
- Security and uptime checks — watching for problems and malware before they become a crisis.
- Small edits — changing text, prices, images or adding a page, without you having to learn the admin.
- A monthly report — so you can see what was done.
Why it matters
Most website disasters are avoidable: an out-of-date plugin gets hacked, a change breaks the layout, or the site goes down and nobody notices for a week. The cost of fixing a broken or hacked site — in both money and lost enquiries — is almost always higher than the monthly care that would have prevented it.
When a care plan is worth it
- Your website brings you enquiries or sales — downtime costs you directly.
- You don't want to manage updates and backups yourself.
- You make regular changes (prices, offers, new pages) and would rather hand them over.
When you might not need one
If your site is a simple one-page brochure that never changes, and you're comfortable doing your own occasional updates and backups, you may be fine without a plan. Just make sure backups are actually happening — "I'll get to it" is how sites get lost.
What we offer
Our care plans start at £29 a month for updates, backups and monitoring, with higher tiers that include more editing time and SEO. They're billed monthly, and you can cancel any time.
