Terms of Service
Last updated: 15 October 2026
These terms apply to services provided by Straitline Digital Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17516415), registered office 2 Frederick Street, Kings Cross, London, WC1X 0ND, United Kingdom ("we", "us", "our"). You can contact us at [email protected].
By placing an order or using our website you agree to these terms.
1. What we provide
We design, build and maintain websites and online stores for businesses. Our services include website design and development, landing pages, online stores (WooCommerce), SEO setup, website migration, speed optimisation, Google Business Profile setup, website audits, and monthly website care plans. The specific work, deliverables and timeline for your project are set out in the package you buy and any written quote we agree with you (the "Project").
2. Prices and payment
All prices are shown on our website in pounds sterling (GBP) and are final — we are not currently VAT-registered, so no VAT is added. For project work you pay either in full, or a 50% deposit to begin and the remaining 50% before the website goes live. Care plans are billed monthly in advance. Payment is taken securely at checkout or by bank transfer against an invoice we send you. You receive an invoice for every payment.
3. Delivery and your responsibilities
Indicative delivery times are shown for each package (currently 5–21 working days) and run from the point we have received your content and any information we need. You agree to provide text, images, logos and access on time, and confirm you have the right to use any material you give us. Delays in providing content or feedback may move the delivery date.
4. Revisions and changes
Each package includes the number of revision rounds stated for it. Additional revisions, pages or work outside the agreed scope are quoted separately and charged at our published add-on prices.
5. Ownership
When all fees for a Project are paid in full, you own the final website design and the content we created for you. Your domain name and hosting account remain in your own name. Third-party themes, plugins, fonts and stock assets remain under their own licences. We may show completed work in our portfolio unless you ask us in writing not to.
6. Care plans and cancellation
Care plans renew monthly until cancelled. You can cancel at any time by emailing us; the plan then ends at the close of the current paid month. We do not refund part-months.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to ask us to build or host anything unlawful, infringing, misleading, or otherwise prohibited by our payment providers' rules — for example content that infringes intellectual property, or that is used for fraud. We may decline or stop work that breaches this clause.
8. Liability
We provide our services with reasonable skill and care. Our total liability in connection with any Project is limited to the amount you paid us for that Project. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses such as lost profits or lost data, or for issues caused by third-party hosting, plugins or services outside our control. Nothing in these terms excludes any liability that cannot be excluded by law, including your statutory rights as a consumer.
9. Ending a Project
Either party may end a Project by giving written notice. You pay for the work completed up to that date; anything owed to you is handled under our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, you keep the benefit of any mandatory protections of the country where you live.
